I love the cannabis industry. It has been the industry that has welcomed me and my authentic self: my weirdness, and my passion, and in most cases- my tone and voice. It has been brought to my attention while traveling the country exploring Cannabis, talking to people- in different spaces within the industry, that everyone is not experiencing the same feelings that I am with regards to the greatness within the industry.

In life, I see every day- things that could be better, things that could be changed, and solutions to some of the problems that we are seeing. I often wonder how I can help change these things, through my passion and mission to educate and inform. So, when The Highly Educated reached out to me, along with Calyx.alex (Alexandra), about shining light on these issues within the industry, my answer was YES.

I can’t love the industry, and allow it to settle in “fuck shit”. I love you industry but there are sides of you, and really, it’s the people that control you- that have to fucking change. We the people demand it and this is why these stories are being told.
