I’m Veronica “Vee” Castillo, founder of the Traveling Cannabis Writer.

An impact-driven brand I founded in 2019 to serve the wellness and plant medicine industry with strategic communications and public relations services.

I’m known for helping businesses communicate with their customers and helping clients uncover the hidden stories of their personal brand, creating content that amplifies those stories.

With over 10 years experience in strategic communications and PR, I’ve learned how to make the most effective impact in: increasing visibility, driving traffic to websites and social media, and boosting sales.

I’m a contributing writer and columnist to Grow Magazine, Cannabis & Tech Today, and more. Interviewing celebrities like Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Freeway Rick Ross, and more have been some of the highlights of my career as I bring BIPOC stories to BIPOC people in cannabis.

I have been featured in: USA News, Bold Journey Magazine, and Eat My News.

Before founding the Traveling Cannabis Writer brand, I worked in P&C Insurance, managing and settling personal liability and commercial liability claims. I also worked in Human Resources- Employee Relations, with a focus on policy, training and development, and employment law.

I am a board member of the Minority Cannabis Business Association, the largest national trade association dedicated to serving the needs of minority cannabis business owners.

Most recently, I launched a writer’s network where I teach and mentor aspiring writers and content creators on getting published.
